I am the creator of EspyFineArt.com. I have been a website designer and developer for well over twenty years. I want to make this website into an affordable alternative for artists to display their works and also be able to sell their work directly to art buyers.

Artist Name: Brian De Costa

A Grateful Artist

Brian De Costa is a 38-year-old artist with a traumatic brain injury from New Bedford, Massachusetts. In January of 2003 when Brian was 18 years old, he was hit by a pick-up truck while walking to the YMCA to play basketball. He was thrown 50 feet and his head took the full impact resulting in a severe brain injury.

He had several skull fractures, blood clots, and extreme brain swelling. After two complex brain surgeries, Brian is grateful to be alive. Unfortunately, after months of being hospitalized, rehabilitation and therapies, Brian still has struggles today. His severe TBI has led him to a lifetime of cognitive, emotional and behavioral changes.

Luckily, when he is immersed in his artwork, he has no limitations. He finds true joy in his art. His paintings have so much detail as he spends several hours a day creating the perfect masterpiece.

Please consider purchasing a piece of his artwork. All funds will go towards purchasing new art supplies for Brian so he can continue to paint.

Thank You
